Interviews WITH YAE MEMBERS

Over the years, the Academia Europaea (AE) Cardiff Knowledge Hub interviewed various members of the Young Academy of Europe, first of all its newly elected chairs. A list of these interviews and some other relevant interviews or podcasts with YAE members are available here.

INTERviews produced by YAE

The YAE was awarded a grant from Academia Europaea’s Hubert Curien Foundation to produce a series of video interviews with outstanding academics, the majority of whom are members of the Academia Europaea. Interviews were conducted by YAE members and questions were collected through an open call. The selected academics have a wealth of experience to share with the broader scientific community, and it is important to make their voices heard. These interviews aimed to provide a valuable resource not just for academics today, but also for generations to come, and to be useful catalysts for communication across disciplinary, national and generational divides. For more details about the interviews see here.

CALIPER ROLE MODEL INTERVIEWS

As part of the CALIPER Horizon Europe project, the YAE produced promotional videos to raise awareness and generate debate about the gender inequality issues in STEM fields. The interviewees are female role models, whose remarkable personalities, achievements, and positive stories can encourage other women, especially young girls, to become engaged with research and innovation. YAE Vice-Chair, Prof. Moniek Tromp, was also interviewed in 2020. You can find these videos on the CALIPER YouTube channel, and on our dedicated Gender Equality page.
