On Monday 28th of September, the Young Academy of Europe together with Eurodoc and Marie Curie Alumni Association, supported by Initiative for Science in Europe, held a press conference to talk about the impact of COVID-19 and budget cuts on the next generation of EU researchers.

The speakers from the three young researchers’ organisations, Giulia Malaguarnera (Eurodoc), Gemma Modinos (YAE), and Mostafa Shawrav (MCAA), have been supported by Jean-Pierre Bourguignon (President of ERC), Francesco Sette (Director general ESFR), and MEP Lina Galvez Muñoz. Despite the short notice and only 3 days of promotion, 496 people registered and eventually the press conference had 328 viewers during the streaming, among whom quite a few journalists.
